PARSIL helps people find the exact entrance of a place. Finding places is free and needs no account. This notice says what PARSIL keeps, why, for how long, and how you control it. It applies in Nigeria (Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023) and Ireland (GDPR).

What PARSIL keeps

• Searches: what kind of place you looked for and roughly where (rounded to about 1 km), never linked to your account. Searches for items are kept without the words you typed. Deleted after 400 days.
• Your account (if you make one): email, name, role. Kept until you delete it.
• Places and items you add: they are public information about places. If you delete your account they stay, without your name.
• Business claims: which document an agent saw (for example “CAC certificate”), never a copy. Rejected claims are deleted after 180 days.
• Jobs: the employer’s advert. Applications go straight to the employer; PARSIL never sees your CV.
• Chat: messages in place rooms you were invited to, encrypted on the server, deleted after the room’s retention period (90 days by default). Joining a room never shares your location; rooms that ask “are you here?” check your position once and throw it away.
• WhatsApp: PARSIL stores a scrambled fingerprint of your number, never the number, plus your language and last shared location for 6 hours.
• Partner API: companies send their order reference and whether the rider found the entrance, never their customers’ details.

What PARSIL never does

• Sell personal data, or anyone’s movements or location history.
• Show your position to anyone because they know your PARSIL ID or share a chat room with you.
• Let paid placements change emergency or public-service results. Paid placements are always labelled.

Your rights

You can download everything PARSIL holds about you, and delete your account, from Me. You can also ask PARSIL to correct data, object to processing, or complain to the regulator: the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (ndpc.gov.ng) or Ireland’s Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).

Children

PARSIL accounts and chat rooms are for adults (18 and over in this version). Finding places needs no account.

Security incidents

If a breach puts your data at risk, PARSIL tells the regulator within 72 hours and tells you without undue delay.
